coverXP is a cover printing software that has never been so easy or so complete.
All you have to do is drag your covers inside the application directly from your browser and then click the print icon.
That's all there is to it - your new covers will be printed in seconds.
Step by Step - How-to print your first cover:
1) Select a template.
Select the correct paper template if you are using pre-designed paper (e.g.. Pressit CD labels) from the main program menu.
Select a cover template for printing on normal paper from the menu on top of each cover window
2) Add Images to your design.
The Left and Right covers are currently empty.
You can add images to your design in several ways :
a) Click on the frame of left or right cover and you can then browse for a suitable image for that cover on your computer
b) Select file -> open from the menu on top of either cover frame.
c) Drag & Drop an image from Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer directly to the left or right cover panel.
3) Edit Spines
If the type of cover being created includes spines you will see the spines editor icon available under the cover picture.
Click on it and customise your spines.
You can edit them to include your own text and a background texture.
Alternatively you can stretch the picture to take the whole cover width including the spine areas using the option setup -> expand to spines.
This can be found in the menu at the top of each cover.
4) Check Printer settings
Verify your printer settings by selecting file->printer settings in the main menu.
Check the output quality and the paper type that is set in your printer driver.
5) Preview your covers
It is suggested that you preview your covers before you print.
Check the visual appearance of your covers and the layout.
To preview your covers you can click on the preview button or select file -> preview in the main program menu.
6) Print the covers!
Click on the print button or select file -> print in the main program menu.
